Beautiful old buildings aside, Lisbon has more to offer than just historic architecture and the more modern tile facades. For example, the Web Summit.

By attending a conference, you can stay abreast of the latest technology trends, strategies, tips and tools. Technology conferences are also excellent opportunities to expand your business network and meet potential customers. All this can take place between sessions, at official networking events, or even in pubs or restaurants.

Whether you need help or inspiration from industry experts, want to exchange ideas and thoughts with your peers, or want to discover new tactics that you can implement as soon as you get back to the office, there are plenty of tech conferences to choose from. However, few are as powerful as Web Summit.

Web Summit 2018 took place in November this year, in the beautiful Portuguese capital of Lisbon. Next year, the conference will take place from 4-7 September, so if you're interested in technology and innovation, make sure to spend your holiday here!

The world's biggest tech conference

In just eight years, Web Summit has grown from 400 to 70,000 participants. from more than 150 countries. Never before has a conference grown so large in such a short time.

The Web Summit began as a simple idea in 2010. The idea was to connect the tech community with all industries, new and old. This has proven to be a recipe for success. The Web Summit has grown to become the largest tech conference in the world.

The conference has also become Europe's largest and most important marketplace for the technology industry. The Web Summit is also an unrivalled global meeting place for the world's most innovative technology companies and those interested in how these innovations can change their lives and businesses.

Speakers and lectures

The web summit is basically several different conferences under one roof. During the three-day (or rather three and a half day) conference in 2018, 24 conferences with a total of 1,200 speakers took place. PandaConf and the Growth Summit are two of the events included in the Web Summit 2018.

Other tech fairs not to be missed

Whilst the Web Summit is of course the premier tech show of them all, there are also a number of additional conferences to look out for.
