Photo challenge in June

It is the travel blogger Maria's memoirs who organises the photo challenges and the theme for June is "clouds". It can be all kinds of clouds and maybe also fog, I think - fog is clouds that reach down to the ground.

There are of course lots of photos of clouds in the archives, but I still found this theme a bit challenging. The difficulty lay in figuring out where we might have taken some clouds that stand out... In the end, we ended up with a collection of cloudy photos! You can also see previous themes here:

Clouds in the Alps

I will start by showing some photos from the Alps. When you are high in the mountains, you are close to the clouds, and often the clouds are all around you. The photos are from Switzerland and Austria, from three different trips.

Clouds at sunset

When the sun goes down, the clouds sometimes turn a beautiful red or pink colour. Here are some photos of sunsets, one in Portugal and two in Sweden.

Clouds and fog are the same thing, with the simple difference that clouds do not reach the ground. So we take the liberty of showing some photos of fog as well. Here are photos from three trips: Poland 2014, Ireland 2018 and Italy 2018.
