Photo challenge in March! In February we participated in this month's photo challenge with the theme "light". Now it's time again and March's theme is ... climate. A not so simple theme perhaps, but exciting!

Photo challenge in March
It is the travel blogger Maria's memoirs who organise these photo challenges for bloggers. This month's challenge is titled "climate". You can interpret the word however you like and we have chosen to highlight the climate issue in the top image - and then showcase some different climates around the world. By the way, you can see some of our recent photo challenge entries here:
Desert climate
We start with some photos of desert climates. We have mainly experienced the desert in Morocco, Egypt and Israel, so there will be three photos from these countries. All these trips have been amazing and experiencing the desert has been very special. When the pandemic hit, we were just about to visit Tunisia, and we are also keen to see more of Morocco, Egypt and Israel. Just when you get to travel again!
Rainforest climate
Now we move on to climates characterised by heat, high humidity and lots of green vegetation. We show a photo from the amazing New Zealandwhich we visited in 2007, a photo from the intensely green Sri Lanka, which we visited in 2019 and a photo from... Sweden! Yes, we chose to include a photo from beautiful The Butterfly House in Haga Park, where you can experience an exotic climate at home.
Cold climate
Let's finish with some pictures from cold climates like we have here at home. Of course, it's "worse" in some other places, but we've chosen two photos from home. Solna. In addition, we have chosen a photo from Austria, which we actually photographed from the aircraft window. We like snow and winter sometimes, although we like to vary with other climates, which has been more difficult in the last year.

Of course, we also miss travelling. Very much so. And travelling through pictures and memories makes us want to travel even more.
Beautiful pictures! My favourite ones were the lone tree in Morocco and the icicles on the bathing ladder.
I wrote a post on the subject a couple of weeks ago and it was also a trip down memory lane.

Absolutely wonderful pictures:-) Almost so that I start to like icicles when I see the picture of the bathing ladder. They look like little drip jewellery/lamps.

Great pictures! Desert climate is so exciting, and I love hot rainforest climate. Fantastic picture of the alpine peaks, it might still be my favourite this time 🙂 .
