Elmia Husvagn Husbil opens today - 12 things happening at the show

Today Elmia Husvagn Husbil 2023 opens at the Elmia fair in Jönköping. We are there of course! Today we give you twelve things happening at the fair - that you don't want to miss.

What happens at Elmia Husvagn Husbil 2023?

As usual, there is a lot going on at the Elmia Caravan and Motorhome exhibition. This year, perhaps even more than usual. First of all, there are of course lots of exhibitors, with a focus on motorhomes, caravans, accessories and destinations.

In addition, there are many events throughout the five days. Here are some things you might not want to miss! For exact times and locations see Elmia's daily programme.

1. destination square

Destinationatorget is new this year, and is organised by Elmia in collaboration with us, FREEDOMtravel. In Hall F (the big tent), the focus will be on travel destinations and there are about 15 exhibitors gathered here, such as BestPark, CampingSverige, Finnlines, First Camp, Glasriket, Nortrip, Pintrip and Polferries. In addition, you are of course welcome to visit us at our stand!

2. Lectures

At the Destination Square there will be a dignified lecture programme. For example, you can listen to Husbilsresor & Äventyr, HusbilsAnnika, Hälsingland - Gästrikland, TreTrästäder, Vildmarksvägen and many others. We will talk about travelling in Åland and Finland. 3. Motorhome school

If you want to learn more about motorhomes, don't miss the Motorhome School! There is a wide range of events, with different themes, such as 'Laws and regulations', 'Technical Q&A', 'Winter camping' and more.

4. The Great Motorhome Podcast

At 13:00 on 9 September there will be a live podcast with "Stora Husbilspodden" on the balcony of Lobby South.

5. Camping kitchen

The camping kitchen offers inspiration and flavour samples from grill master Pelle Bring. There are several opportunities during the fair - check the programme!

6. camping cinema

Why not watch a film on the big screen? The films shown are "LasseMaja's Detective Agency - The Scorpion's Riddle", "Aladdin", "Puss in Boots 2" and "Roald Dahl's Witches".

7. Destination of the Year

We, at FREEDOMtravel, will announce "Destination of the Year Sweden" and "Destination of the Year Europe". Welcome to the stage at Destinationstorget on Thursday at 16:00 (Sweden) and Saturday at 15:30 (Europe)!

8. Drawings for great prizes

At the Destination Square there is a chance to win lots of great prizes. The raffles are organised in several different stands at Destinationstorget (including our own, FREEDOMtravel). The winners are drawn on the stage at Destinationstorget Wednesday - Friday at 16:00 and Saturday at 15:30. Great prizes are promised from First Camp, Finnlines, Wifi.se and Pufz, among others.

9. Oktoberfest

As usual, there will be an Oktoberfest! On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening there will be a party in Hall F (the big tent).

10. dance

On 8 September, Callinaz will dance at 21.00-01.00. On 9 September there will be dancing with Black Jack at 21.00-01.00. 

11. Influencer corner

At Elmia this year there is an "Influencer Corner" where you can meet with @jikitaspaaventyr and others on YouTube, Instagram, blogs etc. You can also rest your legs, charge your mobile phone and get tips on how to start a social media channel and more.

12. selfie booth

Why not take a fun photo for your social channels? Welcome to FREEDOMtravel's selfie stand at Destinationstorget in Hall F (the big tent). Upload your unique picture on Instagram and tag it with #freedomtravelselfie and #elmiahusvagnhusbil.
