Senior Fair in Stockholm 2023
This year's version of the Senior Fair in Stockholm offered a pleasant experience. The hall was completely There was a wide range of exhibitors, focusing on everything from health and finance to travel and experiences. The subject area 'beauty' had a clearer focus than in previous years, with make-up, hair and fashion.
Exhibitors with a travel focus
For us, it was of course a little extra interesting with all the exhibitors with a travel focus. There were shipping companies, cruise companies, tour operators, destinations and museums.
Among other things, we spoke to the wonderful Kingdom of glass and Kosta in Småland, which was also present at the event. Destination Square at Elmia Husvagn Husbil in September. We can highly recommend travelling here!
We also took a look at some lovely and interesting destinations in southern Europe such as Cyprus, Malta and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We also found exciting exhibitors such as Uzbekistan. Visiting Samarkand is a dream for Helena in particular, so one day we will travel here!
In addition, we talked a lot with our very nice stand neighbours from Cultural holidays Europe. This travel agency has lots of trips in Europe and the world for those who want to experience guided trips focusing on nature, history, culture and gastronomy, whether you want to try city breaks, tours, hiking trips, river cruises or something else. Don't miss out!
Nice to meet readers at the stand
We stood largely in our stand, where we showed FREEDOMtravel on a large screen, offered sweets and let new readers sign up for the newsletter. It was both Peter and I (Helena) and Peter's brother Micke, who works with advertising sales at FREEDOMtravel.
Above all, it has been fun to talk to all the people who have come to our stand. We have both met readers who already follow us and lots of other people who talked about travelling and other things with us. Many wonderful and pleasant meetings!
Lectures on Finland and Åland
We gave two lectures at the fair - one on Finland and one about Åland. It was fun to inspire two destinations that pleasantly surprised us!
Best this week
On Fridays, we usually reflect on the best part of the week to push us to keep thinking about the positive, and we encourage you to do the same. The best thing for us this week is clearly that we made it through three good days at the Senior Fair, and that we met lots of nice people! Your turn, what has been the best part of your week?

I have not yet visited any Senior Fair in Sweden.
As you say, it seems to be focused on travelling. Worked a lot at the fair in Gothenburg when there were travel fairs there. Always fun.

The senior fairs are really nice! There is a mix of content, not just travel, but there is always a big focus on travel and that is the part we find most interesting. Considering that there is no real travel fair in Sweden anymore, this is also one of the few places where you get to meet travel exhibitors.
