Beautiful beaches in Corsica

During our last motorhome holiday in Corsica, in July 2025, we sought out a whole bunch of Corsica's most beautiful beaches. Some beaches are easily accessible, and for others you have to struggle a bit more to get there... and sometimes the reward is all the greater!

At Plage de Palombaggia - one of our favourite beaches in Corsica

1. Plage de Saleccia and Plage de Lotu

Starting from the cosy little town of Saint-Florent, in the north-west of Corsica, you can make excursions to two paradise beaches: Saleccia Beach and Lotu Beach. These beaches can only be reached by boat, which makes the experience feel even more exclusive.

During the season, boat trips leave regularly from Saint-Florent. Pack an umbrella and a packed lunch and enjoy a full day on these fabulously beautiful beaches. The sand is soft and fine-grained, and the water is a lovely turquoise blue.

2 Lozari beach

Near the town of L'Île-Rousse you will find a beach named Lozari Beach. This is a very long and nice sandy beach, and there are also restaurants and the opportunity to try water sports. We never swam here, but made a short stop while we passed by and looked at the turquoise blue sea.

3. Bodri beach

Near L'Île-Rousse you will also find the beach Bodri Beach, which includes two nice beach strips with soft fine-grained sand. Just above the beaches there is a car park where you can park during the day for 3 euros (2025). Motorhomes are also welcome as long as there is space. There is also a campsite here, so another option is to enter the campsite and walk down to the beach.

4. beach of Calvi

The beach in Calvi, Calvi Beach, is an extremely long and very fine sandy beach, which enjoys a beautiful and convenient location right next to the city. From the beach you have a view of the large and magnificent citadel that rises dramatically on a hill.

Along the beach there are many cosy restaurants and places that rent out sun beds. In addition, there are several places that rent out different types of boats and jet skis.

5 St Restitude beach

Not far from the long beach in Calvi you will find the beach St Restitude Beach, which is also worth a visit. The sandy beach here is popular and there is a restaurant here. If you're looking for a bit more privacy, you can opt for the pebble beach next door.

6. l'Alga beach

Beaches Alga Beach is located on the Revellata peninsula, just south-west of the town of Calvi. It's wild and beautiful, and as well as sunbathing and swimming, you can go hiking, diving, snorkelling or take a boat. To reach this beach you have to hike a short distance, and we were content to look at the beach from a viewpoint.

7. beach of Cupabia

Beaches Cupabia Beach is an incredibly beautiful beach on the west coast of Corsica, between Ajaccio and Propriano. The sand is soft and fine-grained, the water is turquoise and crystal clear, and you are surrounded by mountains and greenery everywhere. There is a small, simple restaurant on the beach, but otherwise there are no shops or restaurants nearby. Quite simply, a scenic paradise.

You can get to the beach with your own vehicle, and there are plenty of parking spaces. Remember to bring everything you need for a great day at the beach!

8. beach of Tizzano

Far south on the western coast of Corsica, there is a beach called Tizzano Beach. This is a nice, shallow sandy beach in a deep bay, filled with lovely turquoise blue water.

The best way to experience this beach may be to stop at Camping L'Avena in Sartène. The campsite does not have direct access to the beach, but it is only a short walk from the campsite. There are no services on the beach, but there is a snack bar on the campsite in high season.

9. beach of San Giovanni

South of Plage de Tizzano, on the western side of Corsica, you will find another beautiful beach called San Giovanni Beach. Here you will find long strips of beach and shallow bathing water with a fine sandy bottom. Part of the beach, which juts out into the sea like a point, is adorned with delicious rounded rock formations.

The easiest way to get to the beach is by car. There is a small car park, and otherwise most people park along the road that runs along the beach.

10 Palombaggia beach

Of all the beautiful beaches in Corsica, we have to say that Palombaggia Beach is one of the favourites. Located just outside the town of Porto-Vecchio, this beach is both long and beautiful. You'll find soft, fine-grained sand and lovely turquoise waters. There is also a wide range of beach restaurants and boat and surfboard hire companies.

To visit the beach, you can choose between parking for the day or staying overnight, whether you prefer hotels or accommodation in your own campervan. For those with a motorhome, caravan or tent, we can recommend "Parking i Pini" which is a nice and simple pitch/nature campsite with a beachfront location, shady pitches under the pine trees and reasonable prices.

11 Tamaricciu Beach

Right next to Plage de Palombaggia in Porto-Vecchio you will find another nice beach, named Tamaricciu Beach. This beach is a little shorter, but also beautiful. In addition, between the two beaches you will find a delicious section with rounded and very special rock formations.

12. beach of Santa Giulia

A bit south of the beaches at Porto-Vecchio you will find another popular beach, called Santa Giulia Beach. This is a long beautiful sandy beach, in a bay with turquoise blue sea water. You will find both restaurants and boat hire companies here, as well as a large amount of tourists.

There are a few car parks close to the beach, and otherwise people park in long lines along the road down to the beach. If you come by motorhome, it can be challenging both to drive and park. The easiest way to visit is of course to avoid the high season.

13 Rondinara beach

Another beautiful beach on the east coast is Rondinara Beach. This is a long and wide sandy beach in a deep bay, where you will also find a restaurant. There are various parking options if you want to visit the beach during the day. Another variant is to take in at Camping Rondinara, from where you can walk to the beach, on a relatively steep slope.

14. Petit Sperone and Grand Sperone

When talking about beautiful beaches in Corsica, one cannot help but mention Little Sperone and Grand Sperone, located just outside the town of Bonifacio in the south. Both of these beaches offer an almost fairytale experience, with soft fine-grained sand and turquoise waters, as well as a lovely setting of cliffs and greenery.

You can reach the beaches by private vehicle, which you park along the road, or you can stop at Camping des Iles and walk from there. Once you've reached the coast, you'll need to hike further along the cliffs/beach and on narrow shoe paths to reach the two paradise beaches. Canoe hire is also very popular here, for example to paddle out to Piana Island.

15. Lavezzi Islands

If you like small and cosy beaches, surrounded by lovely rock formations - then you should definitely make a trip to the Lavezzi Islands. Here you can stroll around the barren, low-lying landscape and be fascinated by all the rounded rocks with various imaginative shapes. To get to the archipelago, or more specifically the island of Lavezzu, you can join a boat tour. Tours depart from both Bonifacio (closer) and Porto-Vecchio (a little further away).

More beautiful beaches in Corsica

Of course, there are even more beautiful beaches in Corsica than the ones we have mentioned here. Perhaps you even have tips on some of them? Please let us know!

Visiting beautiful beaches in Corsica - good to know

  • Parking: Parking at beaches in Corsica is often relatively unorganised, and in high season it can become slightly chaotic. In some cases there are paid car parks. More often than not, parking is free, often right at the roadside.
  • Parking with a motorhome: With a motorhome, parking can be even more challenging. Also, bear in mind that the roads can get narrow when many cars are parked at the sides. Choose low or mid-season, or try to arrive early in the morning. Another option is to stay at a nearby campsite and then walk to the beach.
  • To take away: Towel, swimwear, sun hat/cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, parasol, plenty of water and/or other drinks, packed lunch/snacks, cash, credit card, mobile phone/camera, ID (you may need to hand it in if you want to hire a boat) and possibly a snorkel and a cyclop. In some places you may find it useful to wear swimming shoes.
