It feels like ”everything” for us was about the event, which we organised, for a very long time. When it was over, it was like the air went out a bit. I don't even understand where the time has gone this last week ...?

Post-event
It's been just over a week since we organised FREEDOM Community Event 2026 and the day after, it was still incredibly intense: material to be picked up, rental car to be dropped off, and several different meetings with people who were in Stockholm just because of the event... But then: the realisation that we could start to unwind a bit...

Some event reflections
We can say that we are very happy with the event. Of course, there are things that could have been fine-tuned - but overall we are satisfied. We sent out an evaluation by email to the participants, and got very nice answers back, and it also seems that our partners are happy and satisfied. The feels good!
A funny thing is that many commented that during the event they had the opportunity to meet someone they hadn't met for a long time - or someone they had previously only had contact with online. It's really nice to be able to contribute to these meetings!
Meetings and mingling this week
There have been some meetings and mingling this week as well, although we tried to keep it at a somewhat ”calm” level. Some video meetings, a work lunch and an AW with a good friend at home in the houseboat ...

Calm days
But mostly ... calm days! And now, at the end of the week, I'm also feeling a cold. Maybe it will be like that when the air runs out ...

I offer you some photos from the marina, where we live in a houseboat, because this is mostly where we've been hanging out for the past week...

This week: Grateful for ...
This week I am so grateful that the event went well. I'm also a bit grateful that I don't have to organise an event at the moment, and I'm grateful that it's only now, when it's all over, that I'm starting to feel a cold... Your turn: What are you grateful for this week?

The week ahead
The week ahead? For starters, we'll be at home, in the houseboat, watching TV series. Good plan, right? Of course, work and meetings are also on the agenda, as well as some event and some press screening. But, we'll be home in Stockholm!
Now we wish you a great Friday and weekend!

After a project like that, I always feel like the air goes out of me, it also feels empty. Very mixed feelings in other words. Good planning that you have another quiet week, sounds undeniably much needed!

Then you probably really need some peace and quiet now!
This week I am grateful that my MRI result was ”unchanged”=good, in this case, and that my husband's bowel examination has been completed, also passed, and that it will be three years before the next one.
Happy Friday!

I realise that it has been incredibly intense! You are well worth unwinding. Cold after an intense period, it sounds just like it usually is. I'm glad when the body keeps up with what it needs to cope with and that it is then allowed to rest up a bit. Glad you can take it easy this coming week!
I'm grateful that spring is really taking hold down here in Blekinge and hope for a lovely weekend. I wish you the same, Helena.

It is quite natural if the air went out of you when everything with the event was over it became a success. That then a cold comes like a letter in the post when the body can relax is almost part of it. Now we hope the cold will go away and that you will have a quiet and cosy weekend. Here we have just eaten Moules frites in Honfleur in short sleeves and that is something to be grateful for. Now we continue north!

Get well soon. Lucky you have a quiet week ahead of you.
If I had been able to attend the event, I would also have appreciated the opportunity to meet the people whose blogs I read. It would have been really nice.

I'm thankful that the genetic test I did didn't show any heredity so therefore my children don't have to go through the same thing. So relieved! Get well soon!

I understand that the air has gone out of you. You had organised everything so well. Sad now with a cold but I guess it can be the body's way of saying no.
Grateful for this week? That we are in Tenerife, south part ”Costa Adeje” south part of Playa de als America, sixth time in the same hotel . Unfortunately a lot of very strong winds and some rain but similar in all the Canary Islands.
Noted yesterday UD: list of countries they advise against travelling to and there are many now; I wonder if everyone who is now travelling has an eye on these countries where the advice is. Yes, these and many more....Don't think everyone thinks of these; Thailand, Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, Philippines, India, Cuba, Malaysia, Tunisia....
Wishing you now a peaceful and pleasant weekend.

So nice to hear that you thought it was well organised Ditte! Yes, the advice is available in many countries, but often it only applies to limited areas ... In Tunisia there are certain specific border areas and the same in Egypt. In the Philippines, it's an area in the south and the advisory has been in place for many, many years. As a tourist, you probably rarely end up in these areas, I think.

I'm sorry you caught a cold, but that's what happens when your body relaxes, and the germs will be there.
It's great that we've got some Spring flowers that have come up in the last few days.
I've made a big sandwich cake for my mum, which she's going to invite her friends to today. And tomorrow there will be a party, the granddaughter's confirmation and then it will be enjoyed out in the sun. Well there will be some work in the garden to then be able to enjoy hihi Have a nice weekend and take care of you. Hugs

So glad to hear that you got such a good response to your event. I'm in contact with Ditte and she also emailed me how much fun she and her husband had. Much like her comment today.
Yes, there is often a kind of anticlimax after such a thing. The body holds together until everything is successfully completed, then it says goodbye. Quite normal - I think.
Today is the spring equinox and it was sunny. Hope you could sit outside and enjoy the marina. Must be quite peaceful this time of year, or...
