Now we are finally on a motorhome trip again. This year it has been tough to get going, for a thousand different reasons. But in the end... We have once again packed up our life in our home on wheels and hit the road.

Finally we got going.
It was really a challenge to get going this year. We had so many different assignments and commitments to take care of, and also a lot of problems to solve.
We decided to leave after the flight/train trip to Germany – where we visited, among other things, Hildesheim and Göttingen – and we've really been busy getting going. But now we're on a roll!
Stop 1: Nyköping parking lot
The first stop was at the campsite in Nyköping. We like this place! It costs 100 kronor/day to park here and then you have access to electricity, garbage disposal and latrine emptying. We think it's a good price, while also being a short walk into central Nyköping.

The location is also nice, close to water and boats.

We felt more or less exhausted when we arrived, but at least we had a short walk in the nice summer weather and some everyday shopping.

Nyköping – a nice city
We think Nyköping is a nice city to visit as a tourist. Not least on a lovely summer day like this! You can walk along the water and there are several inviting outdoor cafes.

In addition, there are some interesting places to visit such as the historic Nyköpingshus (where the Nyköping feast took place!) and Sörmland Museum.

We have previously written a guide about Nyköping, and now we'll probably take the opportunity to update it with some new photos and maybe some new tips.

So the journey continues
So, where does the rest of the journey go now? We haven't had time to plan in detail, but we have an exciting experience coming up on the Göta Canal, and after that we're aiming for Värmland and Norway.
From the beginning, we had planned to follow whole The coast of Norway from north to south and that won't happen now, for slightly different reasons, but we are planning to see a bit of our beautiful neighboring country anyway. We have never traveled in Norway with a camper, so we are looking forward to it!

Finally on the road! Hope you have a really nice trip. We have been talking about going down to southern Norway for years. We have not been south of Trondheim with a camper and it is sure to be very beautiful!

Nice that you are now on a roll. And of course Nyköping is a nice city to take a break in. The Göta Canal is nice in itself. I have gone a couple of times the whole trip; Stockholm-Göteborg and Gothenburg to Stockholm. But that was before the prices skyrocketed. However, the canal boats were the same. Traveling in Norway is fantastic. There is so much to see and experience. I remember friends who were in northern Norway with a caravan many years ago and drove on a narrow road and met. Just reverse x number of km..I think it is easier with a motorhome. I could be wrong…
Wishing you a wonderful trip. And don't miss Lofoten...

It's so funny – I follow this blog, and I've never seen such beautiful views of Nyköping's inner city (https://stefansvardag.wordpress.com/).

Telemark and Hardangervidda are not bad! They are also relatively close. Gaustablikk and a trip up Gaustatoppen is summer high mountains at their best😉🇳🇴
