After Falsterbo and Skanör, we had booked a winter season on Gotland. This did not happen as I had an operation in Lidköping in November. We then decided to stay at Kronocamping in Lidköping. It was just as well to stay the winter season there as there would be return visits as well.

Kristianopel was the first Renaissance town in the Nordic region, once fortified with walls up to nine metres high. However, it only functioned as a town for a limited period in the 17th century. Today it is a peaceful and quiet little town, with a nice campsite inside the old ring wall.

Landek Park is a mining museum in Ostrava in the eastern Czech Republic, and there is also a nice campsite. We visited the museum a few years ago, and on this year's trip we stayed at the campsite, as it has a good location when visiting Ostrava. The campsite is a good stop if you're travelling by motorhome, and the mining museum is well worth a visit even if you're travelling by other means.

Now we have played golf in the Czech Republic, and it was actually the first time we played golf. ever. Very fun to try! Afterwards there was a relaxed afternoon and evening at Camp Olesna on Lake Olesna. Nice holiday atmosphere in the 28-degree heat!
