Ok, a motorhome is actually great in winter too, at least if it's equipped for it. But when the sun starts to shine and it's spring, it's a different feeling! Our car has also overwintered in the strangest places ...

Problems with the water

We bought the motorhome last autumn and had a few weekends out before we noticed that there were several things we needed to fix. The worst was that the water did not work! Hot water came out of the cold water tap and vice versa and one day we got flooding on the floor inside the car ... not fun!

Then you start to realise that there are lots of things you want; extra battery, alarm, stereo ... you name it! Peter is also interested in design and he didn't like the fact that the campervan was white, so he wanted to redecorate it.

Repairs

Now the motorhome has spent the whole winter travelling between different places for repairs, installations and new design! The water has been fixed (the pipes had frozen!) and the alarm and extra battery have been installed. And the car has undergone a dramatic transformation from white to grey, black and red!

Unleash the motorhome

So now it's time to unleash the motorhome, right? Ok, we have seven thousand new ideas for equipment and design so we'll be busy all spring (!), but hopefully we'll get to see the car now and do some work ourselves. We are looking forward to getting out and travelling with Freedom, but as you know, the preparation is often half the fun ...
