Ny matta i husbilen

We have put a new carpet in the campervan! We bought the carpet by the metre and then cut it ourselves so that it would fit exactly on the floor of the motorhome. The floor used to feel a bit cold. Now it is both warmer and more cosy.

A paper template

We chose a brown carpet, to coincide with the new brown upholstery we had planned. We also chose a mottled carpet, as we think a mottled carpet will look less dirty. We bought the carpet by the metre, and then it was time to cut it and put it in the camper van. This is the part that I was a little worried about. I wondered how we would manage to cut the carpet to fit, but Peter said it would be fine ...

Peter first made a paper template and roughly cut the carpet at home using this template. Then he laid the carpet out on the floor of the motorhome and cut it to size. It was a bit tricky and tricky, but it worked and it turned out well!

New carpet in the motorhome

Now the new carpet is finally in place in the motorhome! There was some work of course to get everything right, but it turned out really well in the end. The feeling was that it became warmer and more homely in the car. Now it is much more tempting to take off your shoes when you get into the motorhome!

Here you can now take a look at some pictures that show how it turned out. When we get the cushions back from the upholsterer, it will of course be even more homely and cosy. Soon we are ready for a wonderful season in the motorhome!
