Finally new upholstery in the motorhome! We have long been dissatisfied with the previous blue upholstery, and a while ago we handed in the cushions and driver's seats for reupholstery. Just before the weekend it was ready and now we have mounted and got new upholstery in the motorhome.

The previous attire

There was nothing wrong with the previous upholstery in the camper, but we didn't like the colour. Blue feels cold and we didn't like the stripes either. Time to do something about it! What had to be changed was the fabric on the driver's seats, the two belted seats and the seat on the side of the door.

From blue to brown

The more we looked at upholstery in different motorhomes, the more we fell in love with brown and beige interiors. In the end, we decided on brown upholstery. What needed to be changed was the upholstery on the chairs and all the curtains. We could sew the curtains ourselves, but we needed help with the upholstery on the cushions and driver's seats.

Choosing a new fabric

Choosing a new fabric was not easy. We decided on brown because it feels warm and cosy, and because brown goes with the walls and all the other decor. In order to choose the right shade, we had to borrow samples from E&N upholsterers & furnishings in Sundbyberg, who also did the job for us. They are happy to sew new upholstery for the motorhome and they have an endless selection of fabrics and colours to choose from!

Help from an upholsterer

We would never have been able to change the fabric ourselves, especially on the driver's seats, so it was invaluable to have the help of upholsterers. They helped with great ideas, such as adding buttons for a more stylish design, and did a very professional job.

The cushions were easy to remove and hand in. When it came to the driver's seats, we had to unscrew and hand in the entire seats. It was a bit tricky to unscrew them, but still easier than we thought. Once they were out of the car, it looked a bit empty...

New upholstery in the motorhome

We are really happy with the work that the upholstery company did, and we are also happy with the new upholstery. The colour is nice in the motorhome and the fabric should be resistant to wear and tear.
