Now we have travelled on to experience some camping and swimming in the Czech Republic. After the visit to Kutna Hora, we started looking for a campsite to spend the night. You have no idea where you will end up, but this time we were lucky and found a really cosy place in beautiful nature, called Kostelec nad Orlici.
Lovely day at the pool
We have now moved on from Konopiste in Benesov. We had only planned to stay one night at the Kostelec nad Orlici campsite, but the sun was shining and we decided to stay an extra night.
Right next to the campsite was a 1000 square metre pool with a slide, so we ended up hanging out there all day... The guys enjoyed the pool, and we enjoyed just lounging on the grass in the sun.

Meeting with Polish campers
In the evening, as we sat outside the campervan playing Buzz on Playstation, we were visited by some chatty Czechs. They brought a bottle of booze and offered us schnapps, and they wanted to take a look at our campervan. Here in the Czech Republic, not many people have a motorhome, but most people camp in a cottage or possibly a caravan.
Fortunately, some of them knew some English, but even those who didn't did their best to gesticulate wildly to try to make themselves understood. We managed to understand that one of the guys in the group worked in a mine. Always nice to meet people like this when travelling!
Today we drove all day (on really bad roads) and arrived in Krakow, where we stayed at a campsite at a reasonable distance from the city. We will tell you more tomorrow!
