Vänersborg med husbil

We arrived in Vänersborg by motorhome late last night. It was a good distance to drive and it was very windy. Somewhere after Lidköping we started to run out of diesel in the tank. Does anyone know how long and desolate it is between Lidköping and Vänersborg? When we finally found a petrol station, I think we rolled in on the fumes ...

Berth in the marina

If you come to Vänersborg with a motorhome, there is a pitch in the marina, and that's where we found it. We have connected electricity and there seems to be all sorts of other services such as toilets, showers and latrine emptying.

But the harbour office is only open on Tuesdays and Fridays, so it is not possible to get the code for the toilets. We have not found that you can call anywhere either, unfortunately, so we have to do without that service ... Read more about the caravan park at Marina's website.

Lectures in Vänersborg

What we do here in Vänersborg? I (Helena) am here to lecture in my job. It is practical and convenient to have the motorhome with you when you are out at work, and often we combine it with a small camping trip over the weekend. This time it won't be like that though.

It is a bit rainy today, but otherwise Vänersborg seems to be a cosy little town. We had actually intended to continue the motorhome trip with a small mini holiday near Vänersborg over the weekend. It would have been super cosy. Then it turned out that we happened to make a small double booking on Saturday. So we have to go home again after the lectures ...
