We are fully preparing for spring and summer motorhome life, while getting ready for the next adventure: Uzbekistan!

Another April week

Another April week has flown by, and it's been quite cold... again! We are working, having meetings, exercising, walking, planning trips and fixing the motorhome (which is now home from winter storage). To relax, we watch "The Crown" on Netflix. Life in a royal family is probably not that easy, we can say!

Another thing that Peter does to relax is cooking. I (Helena) would probably never find it relaxing, but that's different ... He always has a lot of ideas in the kitchen and this week he has been busy making various advanced (and very tasty!) sauces ... which he then freezes in small cubes.

Motorhome fix

When the weather is not too discouraging, we fix up the motorhome. It's clean, clean and clean, but also some updates.

Among other things, we have been to stores such as Bauhaus, Biltema and Mekonomen to buy various small items that we need to fix things: hooks for the bathroom, for example, and new suspension devices for our bed drapes.

At our nearest ICA, Peter also found a grill. A long time ago we had a simple charcoal grill, but since then there has been more and more bans on grilling with charcoal and in recent years we have not grilled at all ... Now we found a small and super easy gas grill in a portable box that looks like a toolbox. Absolutely perfect for us!

Ready for the next adventure: Uzbekistan

Now we start getting ready for the next adventure: Uzbekistan! On Sunday we are off! First we fly to Istanbul, where all the writers (who are also flying in from the other Nordic countries) meet, and then we continue together to Tashkent. The journey then continues around to different cities, using high-speed trains. We told you about the travel plans yesterday. It will be really exciting!

We have lots of stuff at home from our last trip to Uzbekistan. We don't usually shop so much when we travel, but in Uzbekistan we did some shopping, and also got a lot of presents ...

Best this week

The best part of this week? It's probably that it feels like most of the plans for the Uzbekistan trip are starting to come together. We are kind of co-organisers (we have put the group together) and there has been a lot of work. Now it feels very fun that it is underway!

The week ahead

Since we will have little time to write, we have prepared most of the posts here at FREEDOMtravel. There will be a bit more South Africa and otherwise focus on Sweden and Europe. And a greeting from Uzbekistan next Friday!
