What a week! Our greatest memories are about the special trip to southeast Turkey. At the same time, we have put a lot of time and energy into a competition in collaboration with the Tunisian Tourist Office. Don't miss out on competing!

A nice trip to southeastern Turkey
It was a very nice trip to Mardin in southeastern Turkey. It was a press trip, which means that you are required to participate in a fairly intensive program and to report. but It also usually means that you get good guides and interesting experiences.

The whole trip felt exotic and special, and it was certainly fun with the sign ”Stockholm 4809 km” that we saw in the city. Midyat.

Another thing that is special is the meetings. On this type of trip you meet other journalists and travel bloggers – in this case from Greece, Spain, Italy, Croatia and Hungary – and you travel incredibly intensively together for a few days. On the last day there was a tearful farewell from our new friends!
Regarding our visit to Turkey, we have already told you about the feeling of visiting one of Turkey's most beautiful cities. Soon we will tell you about the art biennial, and then there will be a guide to Mardin!

Inspiration about Trentino
We landed at 15:30 at Arlanda, and at 17:00 we were invited to an event focusing on the Trentino region in Italy. Would we make it?
We arrived at the event at 5:10 PM (with suitcases in tow) and just had time to sit down to listen to a presentation about the Italian Trentino. We have visited Riva del Garda, which is part of this region, and we learned that the region also offers nature, alpine lakes, cycling and fishing, among other things.
And delicious Italian food of course! The tastings at the event left me wanting more!

Report on us
When we got home to the marina, where we live in our houseboat, our neighbor waved the magazine "Praktiskt Båtägande". There's a report about us there! We hadn't seen it before, so it was fun to see!

Compete – and win a trip to Tunisia!
In recent weeks, we have spent a huge amount of time putting together a campaign together with the Tunisian Tourist Office. The focus is to shine a light on Tunisia as a tourist country for Swedes, which they want to do in connection with the football match between Sweden and Tunisia on June 15.
Tunisia is a fantastic country to visit as we hot can recommend. We have really worked hard on the campaign (texts, pictures, films and many meetings) and we are very happy to now be able to present this competition! All you have to do is answer a few short questions – and you could win a wonderful trip to Tunisia, organized by the Tunisian National Tourist Office.
You are competing here! Please note that your email address only used to contact the winner. You will not receive any newsletters or marketing or anything else. Welcome to compete!

This week: Grateful for ...
This week we are grateful for all the amazing experiences we have had through travel. Visiting Mardin in southeastern Turkey was special – an experience we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
Your turn ... What are you grateful for this week?

The week ahead
Now we're home again! We've traveled unusually little with the camper this year... but it's coming! We'll be home for a while longer, though.
Right now, a number of different events (and other commitments) are pending at the same time as Jonathan, who writes for FREEDOMtravel, sets off on an adventure along the German ”Burgenstrasse”. Report coming soon!
The picture below was taken when we flew into Stockholm. I asked several different AIs about the location and got suggestions such as the coast outside Split, Greenland and the USA. Well, you can't always trust those language models... We wish you a nice Friday and weekend!

Did you miss the last Friday Blog? Read it Greetings from Eastern Turkey

Now I've read a little about your trip to Mardin. What a lovely city with the houses silhouetted against the cliff/mountain and that view. Mesopotamia, a beautiful name as if taken from a fairy tale. I can imagine that when there are no beaches, the place is not as well known and not as touristy.
AI really had many nice suggestions but so wrong hahaha Happy Pentecost Hugs

Yes, it really is a nice city! And I agree that Mesopotamia sounds like something out of a fairy tale!! 😉 And haha, yes, I was just going to find out which island in Sweden it was, but I got many other creative suggestions from AI … 😉

What a great trip you've been on!
This week I am deeply grateful that I didn't hurt myself more when I fell down the stairs.
Have a nice weekend!

Oh, that sounds terrible to fall down a flight of stairs!!! Glad it didn't go too badly! Wishing you all the best!

What an awesome trip you had to Turkey! Then we'll figure out how things might go in football, but we're not very good at football tips, unfortunately...
We ourselves are grateful for a nice, fairly ordinary week and a nice camper meeting. Now we will spend the Whitsun weekend with good friends at Lake Vänern and next week there will be a lot of nice socializing and finally it looks like there will be some warmth... Have a good time!

It's hard to know how things will go in football... but it's a guess so anyone can win! 🙂 Have a great week!!

Had a good laugh at the AI's guesses of the last picture – hahaha :-)
Then you've been very busy this past week too. Which is great, because you're never bored :-)

Helena says:
But right? We wanted to know where in Sweden, and then suggestions came for all sorts of other parts of the world, haha … 🙂 No, we haven't been bored, but it's been a bit tough this year (more than what we've told you about) …

Think, what an exotic life you live compared to mine! No wonder I like reading about what you get to experience. I appreciate both long-term friendships and hanging out for a few short days with people who leave an impression, I understand that it can be hard to say goodbye after experiencing something so intense for a few days. How exciting the competition and the solid work you put into the campaign. Good luck! And as for gratitude, I woke up with a heart filled with joy of life. Not bad for a Monday. Hope you have a wonderful week!

Nice to hear about your report.
Yes, I say as Monnah, what a life you live. Just so wonderful.
AI yes, you always have to take that with a pinch of salt, haha.
So much work with the campaign. Good luck there.
Have a great time!!
