We've now been traveling around Norway for a while, and we've also been joined by... Peter's youngest son and his girlfriend. We've experienced lots of fantastic views, while also doing a lot of everyday life and practical crafts.

Everyday life on a motorhome holiday
When we travel long distances in our motorhome, the days are filled with adventure… but also with everyday life. In order for our house on wheels to function, we need to continuously refill with diesel, LPG and fresh water. We also need to empty grey water, black water and garbage at regular intervals.
In addition, you have to shop for food, cook, wash dishes, clean, wash clothes, plan trips and find places to stay overnight. And that's how we work: write reports, edit guest articles, answer countless emails, manage collaborations, etc. Yes, the days simply go by without a problem!

Beautiful dramatic roads
At the same time, we experience absolutely fantastic views and incredibly dramatic roads. We have far from had time to tell you about everything we have seen and experienced. So far, we have told you about Vestre Sorken Holiday Home – in Norway's southernmost reindeer grazing land and if Vinnufossen – Europe's highest waterfall. But there's more coming... soon!

Companionship on the journey
This week we have company on the trip. Peter's youngest son Billie and his girlfriend Amy have come by car from Sweden to visit us, and travel with us for a week. They drive their own car, but eat and sleep in the FREEDOM camper. Very fun and nice to travel together!

When you travel with others, there is of course a lot of focus on socializing, conversations and shared experiences. This means that we don't have time to write as much, but instead publish extra many great guest reports and interviews. The latest ones, which you don't want to miss, are about:
- Skiing across Svalbard (about Jesper Skarman's journey)
- Finnskogtoppen in Norway (by Björn Erik Gustavsson)
- Sailing trip to Albania Part 2 (by Anki Palerby Hjelmqvist)
Soon we will tell you more about our own Norway adventures!

Are you also planning to travel in Norway by motorhome?
Are you also planning to travel in Norway by camper? If so, we highly recommend getting the Nortrip app – it gives you access to 300 farms in Norway and Sweden where you can stay overnight for free with your camper, while also getting local experiences that you wouldn't otherwise find.
Because we are collaborating with Nortrip, we can currently (until July 26, 2026) offer a discount: You can find your Nortrip offer here!

This week: Grateful for ...
This week we are grateful that Billie and Amy had the opportunity to visit and travel around Norway with us. We are also grateful that we finally get to discover our beautiful neighbor to the west.

The week ahead
We continue to travel in Norway – a few more days with Billie and Amy, and then on our own again. You will read a lot about beautiful Norway here on FREEDOMtravel, mixed with guest reports and other fun things of course. Now we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a really nice Friday and weekend!

Norway is supposed to be so beautiful. I haven't been there since I was a child, and it's almost embarrassing that you don't know your neighboring countries better.

Beautiful Norway! It's impossible not to long for it. When we've seen the places included in Nortrip, it looks much nicer than Swedstop, which we bought a few years ago and only used on a few occasions. It's nice to have company for a bit on the trip. I've spent three days in a sweltering Stockholm with a grandchild who's on summer vacation. It's nice to spend time together, but now we're rolling on in Summer Sweden... Keep up the good work!

I'm half Norwegian and have lived in Norway periodically when I was growing up so I've had many opportunities to travel here. I've done so even as an adult. However, not by campervan but by car and not least by train and sometimes alternating between flights and buses.
The cruise we did many years ago along the entire coast of Norway, starting and ending in Amsterdam, was fantastic. I think we visited about 20 ports in total from the south to the northernmost part of Norway. Maybe you take a beautiful trip on the Flåm Railway, which usually includes a fjord tour. It is said to be one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world.
Have a great time in beautiful Norway. (Have been there for the last three summers and if Swedish trains had worked better we would have been there this year too.

Norway is a beautiful country.
I am very grateful that one grandson ”only” suffered soft tissue injuries when he flew off a bouncy castle and landed on his back.

It's nice that you've had company for a few days. Norway is truly a beautiful country, there's literally everything there. I read your post last Friday, oh so hard to clear out so much, my friends. But it's better than being stuck on the side of the road, in case there's a weigh-in. Have a wonderful trip.

What views! A country where you don't have to wait to get to the attraction, because the whole way there is one big attraction.
Enjoy the company and your continued journey.
