It is fast approaching – the big trade fair of the year for everyone who loves the mobile life. Elmia Husvagn Husbil is an obvious point in our calendar every year, and as usual we will be giving lectures at the trade fair. Right now we are preparing both lectures and the award ceremony.

We pray for lectures at Elmia Husvagn Husbil
What will we be lecturing about this year? We will of course talk about traveling by motorhome in Norway – which was this year’s big summer adventure for us. In addition, we will be giving two other lectures: one about traveling by motorhome in Europe and one about gems in Sweden. We have just started preparing for the lectures and thinking about how we will set them up.

Are you dreaming of discovering Europe by motorhome? Here are our best tips for a smooth and memorable trip through several countries. We go through rules that are good to keep in mind, while sharing favorite routes, wonderful destinations, camping spots and smart planning tips.
Saturday, September 12 at 2:30 p.m.: 15 Swedish gems – FREEDOMtravel's favorites
Discover Sweden beyond the most well-known tourist destinations! We present 15 personal gems – everything from scenic gems to cozy small towns. Maybe we can offer inspiration for your next trip with a motorhome or caravan. In addition, there will be some practical tips on things to consider along the way.
We pray for the award ceremony at Elmia
We will not only be giving lectures at the fair, but we will also – as usual – award prizes to Destination Sweden of the Year. The award is given to a destination (town, area or place) that has a lot to offer, while also making you feel welcome with a camping vehicle. The winner is chosen by visitors to Elmia's website who vote among the destinations we have nominated. Previous award winners are:

Thursday 10 Sep. 3:50 PM: Destination Sweden of the Year Award Ceremony
Location: Destination Stage, Rydberg Hall
5 destinations are nominated for Destination Sweden of the Year 2026. The nominated destinations this year are: Lysekil, Hjo, Söderköping, Mariestad and Piteå. But who will get the prize? Welcome to the award ceremony and presentation of the winning destination!

As usual, there will be a bunch of intense days with exhibitors, campers, camping gear, lectures, cooking events, Oktoberfest, mingling with friends and much more. This is an event that we not I'm glad I missed it. Will we see you at the fair this year?

Hope to see you. We are working on the campsite there for a few days. There is a lot of fun going on now, We are going to meet friends and party in Varberg for a few days, then we head towards Elmia. Late summer and autumn offer wonderful motorhome adventures.
