In Östersund as a tourist - a lovely winter town

We visited Östersund when we were on site during the Alpine World Cup in Åre 2019. Östersund is a cosy city with nice houses and nice streets. What I really liked, so here in February, was that there was snow on the streets in the middle of the city. Among other things, we checked out Stortorget, the old church, the beautiful central university and the magnificent town hall. In the winter park there is really everything to do for the whole family and take a lunch at the bathhouse park café in the middle of the winter park and cosy up in the beautiful atmosphere.

Alpine World Cup in Åre 2019 - royal, festive, fast-paced!

Alpine World Championships in Åre 2019, and we've been following the World Championships with the Austrian Tourist Board. Peter watched the women's downhill, where Ilka Štuhec from Slovenia came first and Corinne Suter from Switzerland came second. The funny thing was that we got to meet both of them in the "Tirolberg" in the evening. The men's downhill went well for Austria and in third place came the Austrian Vincent Kriechmayr. Guess who we also met in "Tirolberg" in the evening? Well, Vincent Kriechmayr of course!
