What can you do in Västerbotten and what can you see and experience? We haven't really written about Västerbotten but we stopped in Umeå and Skellefteå when we did a Sweden road trip many years ago. We wish we could travel and write about Västerbotten today but we can't, and we don't write from the office like many others do. Check out our different facts about Västerbotten!

Things to see and do in Västerbotten

Västerbotten is a landscape in Norrland in north-eastern Sweden. It is bordered in the east by the Gulf of Bothnia and the Kvarken, in the south by the Ångermanland and to the west and north-west to Lapland, and to the north to Norrbotten. Kvarken is the rising Gulf of Bothnia between Sweden and Finland. Västerbotten has one eighth of Sweden's surface area and is the second largest county in Sweden.
