Finally a closet in the garage of the motorhome! We have now rebuilt the motorhome so that we have a technical room and a walk-in closet in the garage. Peter has put up a wall that divides the two spaces and made sure to lead ventilation to both "rooms". In the technical room we will store hoses, tools, electrical equipment and extra fuel and in the wardrobe we will of course have ... yes ... clothes.

Wardrobe in the garage - for jackets and shoes

There are of course some cupboards and drawers inside the motorhome, but it will probably be difficult to fit everything in. In the wardrobe we have thought that we can store things like outerwear, shoes, bags and training clothes.

We also want to be able to store clothes that we want to hang up, such as jackets, shirts and dresses. We bought a system with plastic boxes from Ikea and a clothes rail, which we installed today. This solution allows us to hang clothes on hangers and put shoes, bags and other items in boxes.

Installation of a wardrobe solution

There is a lot to think about when installing a motorhome. Everything has to be fixed so that nothing shakes and rattles when you drive. For example, we've got a 'spider' so that we can attach the drawers, so they don't go off on the bends...

You must also remember that the motorhome must not be too heavy. The motorhome can only have a certain weight, otherwise you can be fined. The Ikea wardrobe solution is quite light, so in this case any problems are more likely to be caused by the temptation to pack too many clothes ...
