#Strand basket challenge2019

Seven motorhome teams, a week in Germany and challenges every day, does that sound crazy? Well, maybe a bit, but also a lot of fun! You can read more about the competition and the seven teams (with video presentations!) at StenaLines travel blog.

We are not travelling with the FREEDOM motorhome this time.

We have started our journey south, but this time we are not travelling with the FREEDOM motorhome. We have been offered to test another motorhome, and since it is a motorhome brand we like, we were eager to try it.

If the truth be told, FREEDOM would also need some love, and we have had neither time nor finances for that. A little sad to leave our beloved motorhome at home of course, but this will also be an adventure! Break at Brahehus

On the way south we took it easy and made a break at the nice Braehus outside Gränna. Here we had an ice cream and some photos in the lovely weather. However, we were not alone - we had to share the ruins with a busload of Asian tourists.

What happened to the motorhome we were going to borrow?

The idea was that we would pick up the loaner car in Jönköping, but beforehand it was a bit unclear when it would arrive from Germany - whether it would be on Thursday afternoon or on Friday morning. It was Friday morning. We knew that this could happen, so we spent a night at the First Hotel in Jönköping.
