What a week! Last weekend we came home from the exciting, intense and fun "Beach Basket Challenge". Then it's been a boat trip with the Croatian Tourist Board, an interview with Radio Stockholm and celebrating National Day here at home in the houseboat.

The beach basket challenge is closed
The motorhome trip in Germany, the so-called "Beach Basket Challenge", was a great experience in many ways. We got to experience several new interesting places in Germanyand we also travelled with a soooo nice gang. It became a little empty to come home, and it also feels a little quiet after we no longer hear the parrot Curre's talk haha. Waving to you all!
Boat trip with the Croatian Tourist Board
This week we were invited by the Croatian Tourist Board to a boat trip in Stockholm. I (Helena) could not come along, as I also have to show up at work from time to time. Peter chugged around with embassy people, ate canapés and probably had a great time.
Radio Stockholm
On Wednesday morning, Radio Stockholm came to visit and interviewed us - live - about living in a houseboat. It was a very short interview in the early hours of the morning, but if you are curious, you can listen to it on Swedish Radio.
Swedish National Day 2019
Last but not least, we can note that it was Sweden's national day yesterday. We "celebrated" by sitting at home in the houseboat here in Pampas marina and working with the windows wide open, and by occasionally hanging out on the deck. In the summer heat, you can hear boats chugging in and out, laughter and sometimes screams when someone throws themselves from a houseboat into the water. A wonderful time!
Best of the week
The best part of the week is the wonderful summer weather that has come to visit! What has been the best part of your week?
We finish with a picture of the heron, which after a few months of absence has returned to the marina. He (she?) flew away just as I was about to take a photo ...

How quickly a week passes! Last week we walked among the treetops on Rügen and today we wake up in the motorhome at Bråviken and go to Kolmården with grandchildren. In between, we have managed to have a work camp at home in the garden (in 30°), play golf and court a new pensioner.
This week's favourite is probably the wonderful summer weather.

Surely the weather has been one of the best this week! Plus we made a very nice Stockholm excursion with the school in glorious summer weather. Now we are keeping our fingers crossed for continued beautiful weather (even if it looks like it will be a bit of a mess, but it can change).

The best thing about my week is that the summer heat has turned up and the owners have taken a mini holiday so I've been able to get out and about in Sweden.

I have actually taken a full day off from the blog. Or you have to answer comments and so on, but no writing Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Just relaxed in the cottage, drank rosé, grilled and enjoyed the sun.
