Today is 24 December, which means it's Christmas Eve. This day may not be as magical as when you were a child, but it's still a special day, isn't it? We want to wish all our readers and friends a very, very Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve and Christmas spirit at home

We won't be winning a prize for the best Christmas decorated home, but we have at least some Christmas spirit at home, with a small tree, a mini Santa and some Christmas lights. We are at home in Stockholm this Christmas and we have planned for a relatively quiet Christmas holiday. There will be celebrations with various relatives, and also some quiet days at home. It feels good!

A very special Christmas balcony

As well as decorating at home, it's nice to have Christmas around town. We've shown some pictures of public Christmas decorations before, but today we're sharing a picture of a slightly crazy (in a great way!) private balcony at Fridhemsplan in Stockholm. This balcony even has its own Instagram account! On the Christmas baubles you can read:

I try to spread light, love and happiness. 100% led strings and ofc 100% green electricity 💚 Mery X-mas!!🎅🏽🎅🏻🎄

Christmas reading and inspiration

We thought we would take it easy today and focus on Christmas celebrations. If you want some festive reading on this day, here are some previous posts about Christmas:

How are you celebrating Christmas this year?

How are you celebrating Christmas this year? Are you at home or away? Are you taking it easy over the weekend, or are there lots of people getting together? Do you have any special traditions that should not be missed...?

The week ahead

We'll be home for the next week, alternating Christmas celebrations and holidays with some work. After Christmas, the planning for the New Year celebrations begins! Just like last year, we will be celebrating in the new year with our friends Lennart and Beata. That time it was a New Year's menu with 8 small dishes. Let's see what we can do this year!
