It feels like we just stopped over at home in Stockholm. We had a few days between Uzbekistan and Tunisia, but not many... and during those days there was a lot to be done!

Lots of impressions from the trip in Uzbekistan
It does not matter that we travelled in Uzbekistan three times now. Each visit is overwhelming, in a positive way. It's about all the visually colourful impressions and all the wonderful encounters with people, but also a bit about culture clashes.
This time, moreover, an extremely large number of languages were spoken in our small minibus - Uzbek, Russian, English, French, Spanish, Swedish and Norwegian in a mess - which perhaps also contributed to the many impressions ...
If you want to discover Uzbekistan, it is super flexible travelling around on the country's state-of-the-art and convenient high-speed trains. This time I have therefore chosen to write about the trip in four parts, based on how we travelled by train, so far we have published:
- PART 1: By train around Uzbekistan: Start in the capital Tashkent
- PART 2: By train around Uzbekistan: Zomin National Park

Lots to do at home
When you come home after such an intense journey, you want a little peace and quiet, but that has not been the case. On the contrary, there has been so much that needs to be fixed: doctor's visits, inspection of the motorhome, video meetings with partners, strange invoices that have been passed on to Debt Collection (even though we have never seen the original invoice?), an overcrowded email box and I don't know everything ... In addition to the fact that we of course needed to write reports, cut films, shop, wash, cook and all that!

Senior Festival and Travel Fair
We also wanted to have time to make a quick visit to Travel fair, at Stockholmsmässan in Älvsjö, not least because the Uzbekistan Embassy is there, with a stand. The fair is currently running in parallel with the Senior Festival, 23-25 October.
Many different travel-related exhibitors are on site, and lectures are also organised on stage. We spent a few hours at the fair in the morning, before hurrying on to Arlanda ...

This week: Grateful for ...
This week, of course, we are grateful for another fantastic trip to Uzbekistan. We're also grateful for a few more quiet days at home! (Although a few more wouldn't have hurt...) Your turn... what are you thankful for this week?

The week ahead
Right now, as you read this, we are in Tunisia to experience a hot air balloon festival in the desert. We will of course tell you more soon!

It was stressful! You have a lot to deal with when you get home.
It seems much more common now with invoices that you have not received, yet they go to debt collection🤔it's a bit weird.
This week I'm grateful for... well, I'm still mostly grateful that my celebrations at the weekend went so well. And yes, of course I'm very grateful that my friend K is feeling a little better now and that they've found what it is they're treating her for. She has been ill for over a month, hospitalised, undergone all sorts of tests, x-rays etc. But now they know. And it can be treated. I am most grateful for that!

What a cool hot air balloon festival! Hope you have your long lens with you, looking forward to the photos. I am grateful that there has been a few mm of rain and that there will be more next week. I am also grateful every time Assi chooses to come home, he is a wanderer of great dimensions and just this morning he meowed and said that now I am home! Have a really good time in Tunisia.

Well, to be honest, I don't understand how you manage to flit around like you do. But you seem to like the high tempo, so it's just to continue.
It will be a culture clash to visit Tunisia after Uzbekistan. Great fun with the hot air balloon festival.
Guess Peter doesn't need the fur hat in Tunisia;-)
Have fun and ENJOY!!!

I can probably agree that another day might be good to have at home. Thought of you when I heard on the radio about the travel fair. Have a wonderful balloon ride.
We are happy that all the firewood is sawn up and a cosy day at Ulriksdal garden.
Have a nice weekend

As much fun as it is to be travelling, I almost hope that you get a few more days at home when you come from Tunisia. Sometimes it can actually be needed. Best for us this week is of course to be on the roll even if the weather (and wifi) could be better. Colmar was probably the highlight of the week.
