How quickly time flies! I thought it was Friday just now… And now it’s Friday again!? Another week has passed, and for us it has been filled with both work and fun meetings. One moment it has been calm and the next it has been stormy – both literally and figuratively.

Friends visiting and events with mingling
When you have friends over to visit, you have to… clean! Well, it really is trip that we sometimes have visitors. When we are alone at home, we disappear into the world of computers while the piles of laundry and dust grow. Guests ”force” us to do a bit of cleaning and laundry, and that’s great!
One evening we had a visit from a journalist friend and her friend. Another day a blogging friend from Skåne came by for coffee. Oh, how nice!
Then it was time for events in several different destinations, including Latvia, Denmark, Poland, Croatia, Slovakia, Ireland and South Korea. These types of events offer excellent opportunities to network and start collaborations. At the same time, it is fun to meet all the good friends we have made over the years.
Sometimes I'm fascinated by how long we've been in the industry and how many great people we've met. Fantastic! Plus, there was a delicious Italian buffet!

Calm and storm – calm and full swing
The weather is just like our lives right now. Some days there is calm on the water, and other days the wind is mercilessly whipping our houseboat. It often varies from hour to hour. We can sit in peace and quiet and work and then a gust of wind comes along… wooh! It’s like you’re suddenly on a roller coaster.
We work a lot on computers. Are you wondering why we suddenly wrote about museums in Prague? We haven't been there yet, but when we went through it we realized we had so much unpublished material...!

Planning for the motorhome this winter
The camper is currently parked in the marina and we still use it during the fall for smaller trips. We really enjoy going out on the autumn camping! Among other things, we went to the Campingvaruhuset in Enköping, because we ordered a new handle for our oven door. Nice to be on a roll!
At the same time, we are planning for the winter. We usually winter storage of our camper in the garage. The challenge is that it is very difficult (quite frankly!) to find a suitable place near Stockholm.
This year we have found a garage a good distance outside Örebro. We only have a driver's license (and only one vehicle) so getting there, and then back home, will be an excursion to remember...

This week: Grateful for ...
We are grateful, every week! Seriously, it doesn't matter that our budget is limited or that we can't do everything we want. Think of all the misery there is around the world! We live in a country at peace and we have the opportunity to do many fun and amazing things. We are grateful for that.
Your turn… What are you grateful for this week?

The week ahead
We are back home in Stockholm and our immediate plans right now include visiting Travel fair which is arranged at the Avicii Arena Annex on October 16-17. The fair, which is arranged together with the Senior Festival, is usually a good opportunity to meet different travel destinations, both in Sweden and abroad.
This year we are neither an exhibitor nor a speaker, but we plan to visit the fair on Saturday. If you see us, please come and say hello!

I still feel a bubbly sense of gratitude for what I experienced on my last trip, especially the macaws, parrots, and capybaras in the Amazon.
I'm also grateful for Wednesday's walk in the wonderful weather. I walked past the lake where there were some people who, like you, were enjoying fall camping.

I'm grateful for a few hours of peace and quiet with my youngest son as it was a week off for him.

Hahaha, the helmet picture is fantastic! I agree with you. Now we have a bit more space and I am a former cleaning fanatic who now occasionally cleans more than many others think is ”normal”, but it still happens that the jolt when others are coming helps keep you on your toes. And you, it's great that you have met so many wonderful people. Social relationships add a golden edge to life. Good luck at the fair and hope you have a lot of fun.
I myself am grateful that Thirty Grateful Days is approaching and that I am starting to find myself in the sphere of gratitude already now, as if my body knows where it is barking. You are so right, why grumble about things that REALLY aren't important in the long run. Of course you have to grieve and be disappointed, but finding the grains of joy at least gives me a higher quality of life. Have a really nice weekend, Helena!

Of course, social relationships are so important!! And yes, you absolutely have to be able to grieve, be disappointed, dissatisfied, etc. It's necessary from time to time! But also finding what is worth being happy and grateful for – it can help you with your perspective from time to time. Wishing you continued great days!!

Hi Helena! What a lovely and eventful week you have had! So much fun with all the meetings and nice acquaintances. Autumn camping also sounds cozy, even if the storms might make it a bit exciting sometimes! Hope you have a nice weekend and a nice trip to the travel fair!
KRAM to you! Anna

I really recognize myself there, when I visit, it is always cleaned extra carefully, without visits it would not have been cleaned properly. 🙂
Have a good time.

What a week we have had! It has truly contained high mountains and deep valleys. We are most grateful that we are actually getting off the ferry to Kiel after two days of emergency workshop visits when the living room battery suddenly wouldn't charge either when we were on electricity or driving... Since then we have had the privilege of meeting up with old good friends twice. Yesterday I spent a whole day with 16 of my old high school friends, what nostalgia!

It's great that you can combine work with some fun activities. And networking is important to you, and combining it with meeting friends is an advantage.
Grateful for this week? Nice and fun activities where I can participate and not least the freedom to "own" my time and do what I enjoy.
Have a nice weekend!
