Journeys past and present ...

We've done some kind of summary at the end of almost every year, and it's kind of interesting to look back at the past as well. I realise that most years we have travelled a lot in Europe, and sometimes we have also made detours to Africa or Asia.

During the pandemic, we were "forced" to become better at discovering Sweden, which was a very positive experience. Both last year, travel year 2021 and this year, we have mixed Swedish destinations with foreign ones. This year we have travelled very, which we can do because we have a campervan and a digital job.

January - Stockholm

We started 2022 by hanging out in our home town of Stockholm. Here we took the opportunity to visit some nice museums, such as Historical Museum, Prince Eugen's Waldemarsudde and Thielska Galleryfrom where we took a cosy boat ride back into town. You don't always have to go that far to have a good time!

February - Denmark

In February it was time for a trip to our neighbouring country Denmark. We travelled there to visit the travel and camping trade fair Holidays for allAnd while we were there, we took the opportunity to explore the Danish city of Copenhagen. Herning. A really good fair we must say!

March - Motorhome Sthlm 2022

During the month of March, a lot of our attention was focused on the trade fair Motorhome Sthlm 2022which was organised at Kistamässan in Stockholm. We were involved with a large stand, products and lectures. Great fun! In addition, we homesteaded a bit by staying at the Scandic Kista Tower.

April - Motorhome travel in Sweden, on the way to Europe

In April, we finally set off on our long-awaited long motorhome trip. We weren't in a hurry to leave Sweden, but started by discovering places such as motorhome-friendly Mariestad, fine Brandstorp local history centre and the fishing camp First Camp Hökensås - Tidaholm. Yep, we always got a bite!

May - Germany and Croatia

We spent almost all of May in Germany with the motorhome. Among other things, we hung out for a long time in cool Hamburg, fine Bremen and charming Celle. We also familiarised ourselves with Magdeburg before it was time to fly down to Croatia, where we were nominated for the Golden Pen Media Awards 2022. In Croatia, we also made an exciting visit to the culturally interesting little town. Sinj.

June - Germany and the Czech Republic

After the visit to Croatia, we flew back to Germany, where we followed the cosy Korsvirkesvägen with the motorhome. Here we visited, among other things, fantastically beautiful places such as Quedlinburg, Wernigerode and Miltenberg. We also had time to explore Baden-Baden before rolling into the Czech Republic.

In the Czech Republic, this included a visit to the top of the The highest mountain in the Czech Republic, hiking around the mountain area Prachovské Skály and canoeing in Malá Skála. Great to discover the northern part of the Czech Republic!

July - Czech Republic, Germany and Malmö

In July, the trip continued in the beautiful Czech Republic. We visited many amazing places in the northern part of the country, such as the "devil's castle". Houska, the spectacular Devil Heads and dreamy Tísawhich served as a location for the film Narnia.

Back in Germany we discovered, among other things, magical Bastion in Saxon Switzerland, the beautiful town of Dresden, design city Dessau and the fierce boat lift in Niederfinow. At the end of the month we came back to Sweden, where we stayed in Malmö. What a month of travelling!

August - Bohuslän

In August we rolled north from Malmö to discover Bohuslän. We spent a lot of time on the big islands. Tjörn and Orustfrom where we made some boat trips to smaller islands around. In addition, we discovered wonderful places like Lysekil, Smögen and Hunnebostrand. A month of cliffs, fresh winds and seafood!

September - The Elmia exhibition and more Bohuslän

In September it was time for Elmia Caravan Motorhome 2022, where we exhibited, lectured and also did reports on motorhomes and caravans. Intensive, but fun!

After the fair, we soon returned to Bohuslän, where we explored, among other things. Uddevalla heavily and visited places like Fjällbacka and the rock carvings in Tanum.

October - Bohuslän, Senior Fair and excursions around Stockholm.

In October, we finished our Bohuslän adventure, including visits to Strömstad and the almost exotic Koster Islands.

Then we rushed back to Stockholm to attend the event. The senior citizens' fair, where we exhibited and lectured. Finally, we had two excursions with the motorhome before it was time to store it for the winter. Kvarngården in Knivsta and Siggesta Gård in Värmdö.

November - Cyprus

In November it was time for a visit to beautiful Cyprus! We discovered, among other things, historically interesting Pafos and experienced The Cyprus countryside. We also took the opportunity to snorkel in the underwater museum. MUSAN in Ayia Napa. Fantastic to get away to the sun during this dark season!

December - Stockholm and Croatia

We have started December in a winter-white Stockholm, but we actually have time for another trip this year. It has just been finalised that we are going to Croatia. We will tell you more soon!
