3 x islands in France

France is home to many beautiful islands. We've visited a bunch and it was hard to pick favourites, but here are three islands that we think shouldn't be missed.

Porquerolles

Island Porquerolles located off Hyeres in the south of France, is one of the three so-called 'golden islands'. It includes Notre Dame beach, which has sometimes been called the most beautiful beach in France. It's not hard to see why!

Port-Cros

The island of Port-Cros is another of the three 'golden islands'. Covered in lush greenery and lined with beautiful beaches, this island is reminiscent of the Caribbean. Here you can live a relaxed island life and drink mojitos at one of the bars in the harbour.

Finally, we cannot fail to mention the large island of Corsica, one of our favourite places in Europe. Corsica is a stunningly beautiful island with dramatic mountains, untamed nature and white paradise beaches where you can swim in turquoise waters. There are also several nice towns, such as Calvi and Bonifacio.
