Most beautiful beaches in Corsica, and we have received requests for more pictures of the blue sea and the beaches of Corsica, and this request is not difficult to fulfil! We are still at the campsite at "Plage Cupabia" on the west coast, south of Ajaccio. We have been sunbathing and swimming all day, as well as taking a walk along the paths that run just above the beaches. It's so stunningly beautiful everywhere that it's hard to believe.

Travel here!
We know that we may have discouraged some of you from travelling here by showing pictures of those dramatic motorways along the west coast. Now we just want to say: Don't hesitate, travel here! If you want to bring your motorhome but are worried about the mountain roads, there are bigger roads further inland (although you'll miss out on the great views). So there's no need to be discouraged, quite the contrary. This place is probably the most beautiful we have experienced in Europe!
By motorhome or ordinary car
If you prefer to travel by car, you can stay in chalets on campsites, for example. There are chalets on most campsites here, and staying in a chalet seems to be popular with the French. We can highly recommend a visit to this island. Experiencing the beaches of Corsica is fantastic, and we just have to write about the most beautiful beaches that we have experienced.
Corsica's beaches - 10 most beautiful beaches
There are many beautiful beaches in Corsica, all of which have the feel of a charming South Sea island. Corsica is 60 per cent nature reserves and is clean and unspoilt. Corsica's beaches are world class!
1st Saleccia Beach
Saleccia Beach is off St Florent in Northern Corsica, and you can take a water taxi directly to the beautiful sandy beach. We paid 25 euros for the round trip and it took 25 minutes to get there. There is also a local boat ferry that goes to Lotu Beach, but then you have to walk for about 30 minutes when you arrive. Bring a packed lunch because there is no sale but only the incredibly beautiful beach. Saleccia beach, which you never want to leave.
2. beach of Calvi
Calvi Beach is almost 6 kilometres long and starts at the bay next to the citadel. Located in north-west Corsica, Calvi is one of the two biggest tourist magnets in Corsica, along with Porto-Veccio, which we'll get to below. Plage de Calvi has a shallow beach and is for all ages with its emerald-coloured sea. Read more about Calvi here.
3. l'Alga Beach
Alga Beach is located south of Calvi on the La Levellata peninsula and is a paradise of its own. You can spend every day of your entire holiday here. Bring a packed lunch and enjoy all the bays from morning to night. Snorkelling is recommended in the clear sea.
4: Sagone Beach
Sagone beach is a tourist resort without being too much, located on the west coast between Ajaccio and Piana. What do we mean by that? Well, there are no big nightclubs, but there are bars and a nice hangout on a kilometre-long beach. If you want to get away from stress and just relax, Plage de Sagone is the place to be. We stayed and ate seafood along with a big cold beer at Nave va Sagone and enjoyed the view. One of the most beautiful beaches... of course!
5. cupabia beach
Cupabia Beach is located on the west coast between Ajaccio and Propiano, or between the bays of Capu Neru and Punta di Porto Pollo. There are cottages, a restaurant and a campsite. The beach in the bay feels like a Robinson Cruse experience, untouched, wild and beautiful. Why is it a paradise? Only because ordinary tourists haven't found their way here and that makes Cupabia Beach original.
6 Palombaggia Beach
Palombaggia Beach is located south of Porto-Vecchio and southeast of Corsica. This is the second of the two main tourist destinations in Corsica. Lots of hotels, sunbeds and parasols and the three wonderful beaches. We are glad that we had the chance to be here and experience the nice beaches. It really is a tourist resort with lots of bars and restaurants along the seafront around the golden grains.
7. tamaricciu beach
Tamaricciu Beach is the beach after Palombaggia and we think it's nicer. It's more idyllic with small rock formations and rocks sticking out of the turquoise sea. Why don't all Swedes go here? If you want a sun holiday and experience something magical, you can find it here in Corsica in Europe.
8. folacia beach
Folacia Beach is the third beach on the coast after Palombaggia and Tamaricciu. Here it's more of a beautiful naturist beach that's hard to miss. The fine-grained sand that sticks everywhere, and if you have to take off all your clothes, you can bet your bottom dollar that you have it with you at home. Beautiful as it gets!
9. petit Sperone beach
Little Sperone Beach located in the south of Corsica a little east of the beautiful city of Bonifacio. They say it's the clearest water in Corsica and we couldn't agree more. You only walk a few metres at a time along the coast, and we keep stopping and gaping. There is a golf course here overlooking the Mediterranean, and it must be a dream to practice your sport in this way.
10. The coast and the island of i'le Piana
The coast and the island of l'le Piana is close to Plage du Petit Sperone and you can walk between the mainland and the island. We rented a canoe at Bonif Kayak which is located along the beach strip and paddled around in heaven. We also made it to the island of I'le Piana and swam naked in the solitude... Wow. How many WOWs do Corsica's beaches get? Very many for their crystal clear waters and magic!

I like a beach like this, instead of the kilometres of sandy beaches of the Costa Brava coast. We have almost the same beach where we are now with rocks and swimming, but much smaller. Have a good time

Hello gingerbread!
Recognise that breathtaking feeling of winding along steep roads with the sea far below and the sails of sailboats as little white dots far below! For us it was in Cinque terre - Italy. In fact, the road just suddenly ended and we had to continue on a rocky road because there was no turning back... and we didn't know if we would ever find our way back to a road, but eventually we did. (Hmmm. was it after that I got gastritis??) 🙂 🙂 .
Very nice pictures from Corsica!!!!

Ama de casa, absolutely! There are very many who travel with a regular car and a tent! At the campsite we are standing now, it is probably the most common option!
Lena in Wales, huh, hope you get some more summer heat soon!
Anja, many people have talked about Cinque terre and we have seen pictures from there. It looks really nice! Yes, we suspect that we will encounter both steep roads and narrow alleys in more places... but we are practising for it! 😉
