We arrived in Swinoujscie, Poland, at 8.30pm on Saturday evening, intending to find a campsite straight away. But that didn't happen... On the way to Berlin there were no campsites, and instead we drove through darkness, rain and thunder until nightfall. Where would we find a place to stay?

Through Poland and Germany

We travelled by ferry from Ystad to Swinoujscie in Poland, and the idea was that we would take in a campsite as soon as we arrived. But on the road we drove, we didn't find any in campsites... Instead, we quickly got into a Germany. Now it was late in the evening and we wanted nothing more than to find a place to sleep. We searched the German campsite list Bordatlas and saw that there would be a campsite at the hotel Seeschloss just north of Berlin. That's where we headed!

RV park north of Berlin

We eventually found the car park outside the Seeschloss hotel, north of Berlin. In the dark, it was difficult to see what it looked like, but when we woke up, we had a hotel breakfast on their nice veranda. It was free to stand in the car park outside the hotel and there was no requirement to go in there and eat, but it felt nice to do so. Also luxurious with a small hotel breakfast in the morning sun!

RV park south of Nuremberg

The next day we continued through Germany and ended up at a campsite south of Nuremberg, called Camping Bauer-Keller. This was a rather uninspiring but practical site. Time to load all the technical equipment and then continue towards Austria and Slovenia!
